Forecast, wind, weather and daylight
Open-Meteo, on a commercial subscription. Wind, weather and daylight come from its forecast model; swell height, period and direction from its marine model.
Tides
WorldTides, from the tide station you choose for a break or otherwise from its global tide model, and Open-Meteo's modelled sea-level height when WorldTides cannot answer or does not reach far enough ahead. Which one served a given forecast is named on the break's own screen rather than assumed here.

The notice their response carries is reproduced word for word on each break's forecast too, under "Tide data notice". Their data is licensed for individual lookups; it is not ours to redistribute in bulk, which is why there is no export of it anywhere in the app.
Open-Meteo's tide model is CC BY 4.0 and is attributed the same way, on the same line, whenever it is the source that answered.
Tide predictions are not for navigation.
Maps and place search
Map tiles are downloaded by your device directly from the provider of the map style you choose:

Notifications
Surf alerts are delivered by Google Firebase Cloud Messaging on Android and Apple Push Notification service on iOS.
Subscriptions
Pro is sold and billed by Apple and Google. RevenueCat keeps track of each subscription's status for us; it does not take payment.
Sign-in email
Sign-in codes and account emails are sent by Resend, on behalf of our authentication provider.
Hosting, database and authentication
- Vercel — hosting. This app's functions run in Vercel's Sydney region.
- Supabase — database and authentication, in
ap-southeast-2(Sydney).
Security
Your data is encrypted in transit with TLS, and encrypted at rest by our database provider.
